Ten honest answers about the bar, the label, and what happens after you click buy.

Good Questions

Everything people ask.

Answered the way we would answer them on the phone.

What does it taste like?

68% dark chocolate with a nutty, slightly bitter edge from the apricot seed meal. The cacao leads; the kernel is present rather than hidden. If you like dark chocolate you will recognize it immediately.

How much should I eat?

From the label: start with 4 pieces a day, eating no more than one bar per day unless otherwise directed by a nutritionist or health professional. Full guidance here →

What is B17?

The common name for amygdalin, part of the nitriloside family of compounds found in over 1500 natural sources including nuts, seeds and vegetables. Our label states 40 mg per serving, 200 mg per bar. The longer explanation →

What is actually in the bar?

Organic chocolate liquor, organic cacao paste, organic coconut sugar, apricot seed meal, amygdalin extract. That is the complete list in label order.

Is it vegan? Dairy free?

No dairy appears in the ingredient list. We do not carry a third-party vegan certification, so we state the ingredients rather than the badge — read the list and judge for yourself.

Is the sugar refined?

No. Organic coconut sugar, which sits lower on the glycemic index than cane sugar.

How many bars in a pack?

Single bars, five-bar packs and ten-bar packs. Bundles pairing bars with EatApricotSeeds raw seeds are also available.

Where does it ship from?

Orders are processed securely on HealthHarmonic.com, our Shopify store, and ship from Eugene, Oregon. You will see the domain change at checkout — same people, same bars. Shipping & returns →

Will it melt in transit?

Chocolate travels better than people expect, but in a hot month it can bloom — the pale streaking that appears when cocoa butter migrates. It is harmless and does not affect the ingredients, though it dulls the snap. We currently sell this product seasonally. Right now it is not an issue because it is cold in Oregon, but next spring and summer will change that. If you are thinking about trying it, buy before the hot months arrive.

How should I store it?

Cool and dry, out of direct sun. A cupboard beats a fridge; refrigeration encourages bloom and picks up odours.
